I wanted to make sensual fiction that does not explain everything
This is a message from the person who creates and edits the VEIL site and its fiction. It is not dialogue from an in-world character.
Why VEIL began
VEIL began for adult readers who want more than an explicit scene—readers who also want to follow the gaze, hesitation and emotional aftermath surrounding it. All characters are fictional adults.
The stage, a job, the walk home and a conversation with a partner all shape what a character later wants or refuses to admit. This serialized erotic fiction follows that continuity rather than treating intimacy as an isolated event.
What remains before and after intimacy
I am interested in what a character remembers later: being noticed, the sentence she did not say, or the distance she keeps the next time she meets someone. VEIL gives the buildup and aftermath the same weight as the intimate moment itself.
I use erotic fiction and sensual fiction as the clearest descriptions of the project. “Adult-oriented fiction” indicates the intended age group; it does not mean that every page is explicit.
What I value in Japanese “image videos” and gravure photography
This is not an argument against adult video. My own attention is often held longer by Japanese “image videos,” a glamour-video format, and Japanese gravure photography, where clothing, expression, framing and setting leave room to imagine what the image does not show.
That preference is personal, not a claim about why every viewer chooses one form over another. It shapes VEIL’s visual language: suggestion, atmosphere and the space just outside the frame.
The adult-oriented work described here consists of fiction and AI-assisted still illustrations. VEIL also releases music, but it does not offer live-action gravure photography, Japanese image videos, DVDs or other video productions.
Why VEIL combines fiction and still images
Prose can follow what a character cannot say aloud. A still image can hold clothing, light, distance and a glance in place long enough to revisit them. VEIL combines both forms so that neither one closes every possibility left by the other.
What this record promises
- Characters will continue beyond a single intimate scene, through music, work, relationships and consequence.
- Adult-oriented material will be clearly labeled for readers aged 18 and over.
- The project will state that its characters are fictional adults and that its visuals use AI-assisted production methods.
- VEIL will not present itself as a format or kind of work it does not provide.
